What every visit includes
- pH, free chlorine and alkalinity testing, balanced with the right chemicals
- Floor and wall cleaning, by robot or by hand
- Skimmer and pump baskets emptied
- Leaves, pine needles and insects removed from the surface
- Filter backwash whenever the pressure calls for it
- Pump, timer and salt chlorinator checked
How often you need it
- June to September: once or twice a week. At 30 °C with a full pool, chlorine is gone in a couple of days.
- April, May and October: once a week is usually enough.
- November to March: every two to four weeks, so the water doesn't turn while nobody's using it.
Why pools in Ibiza need more attention
The island sun, wind-blown dust and pine needles can turn an unattended pool cloudy in just a few days. In many areas the water is also very hard, and if the scale isn't kept in check it marks the waterline and clogs the filter.
With a regular service the technician gets to know your pool, knows how much it needs and catches breakdowns before they leave you without a swim in mid-August.
FAQ
Do I need to be home for the visits?
No. The technician only needs access to the garden and the pump room. Plenty of owners don't live on the island all year.
Are chemicals included?
It depends on the company and the size of the pool. Your quote will say whether chlorine and other chemicals are included or charged separately.
Does it work for saltwater pools?
Yes. On saltwater pools the cell, salt level and pH are checked too. pH tends to creep up on salt systems.
